Admiral’s Private Design Review
A BENCHMARK. AN HONEST NEXT STEP.
This draft is not ranked among the top ten nonprofit websites. The comparison below examines practical visitor tasks on established nonprofit sites; it is not a design award, certification, or measured conversion ranking.
What Changed In This Revision
- A bright blue, photo-led homepage inspired by Montgomery County Food Bank’s clear visitor paths, with CMCM’s own identity and content.
- Twenty-three photographs selected from CMCM’s Google Drive archives; originals optimized without upscaling.
- Distinct photo selections for the homepage, food distribution, and Service Center, with all twenty-three grouped in the full gallery.
- A rebuilt Service Center/contact page with direct phone, email, directions, visit guidance, and a native contact form.
- A redesigned Empowerment page, consistent academy presentation, and a clearly labeled educational illustration alongside genuine community photography.
- A visible Resources navigation link and directly clickable resource listings.
- Stronger typography, spacing, brighter backgrounds, and grouped footer navigation across the site.
Visitor-Task Comparison

| American Red Cross | Volunteer participation | Volunteer opportunities are a distinct visitor task with a clear route from primary navigation. |
| Wounded Warrior Project | Veteran services | Programs are organized by practical needs, helping people find relevant support. |
| Community Assistance Center | Local Montgomery County support | Assistance, volunteer, and giving routes make the organization’s practical role immediately clear. |
| Montgomery County Food Bank | Local food assistance | Food assistance, ways to get involved, and impact/financial information have their own destinations. |
Official websites reviewed October 5, 2026. The organizations differ in scale and mission. Their visitor paths provide reference points; their photographs, statistics, and stories are not used as CMCM’s.
What Remains Unverified
Visual behavior on desktop and mobile, a complete accessibility audit, loading-speed measurements, and visitor feedback are still needed. There is no evidence yet that this draft matches these organizations’ performance or would meet a top-ten standard.
The community gallery now uses original CMCM archive photographs from Google Drive. The educational illustration remains clearly labeled and separate. Historical photographs do not establish a current staff roster.
