CMCM Class Descriptions
Basic Computer
In this class, students will learn how to use a computer. They will learn how to turn it on and off, use the keyboard and mouse, and open and close programs. Students will also learn how to use the internet and stay safe online.
Microsoft Office
This class will teach students how to use Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They will learn how to write documents, make spreadsheets, and create presentations with cool slides and pictures.
Spanish
In the Spanish class, students will learn how to speak and understand basic Spanish. They will learn simple words and phrases, how to greet people, and how to ask and answer common questions. It will be fun and interactive with games and activities.
Artificial Intelligence
This class will introduce students to the amazing world of artificial intelligence (AI). They will learn what AI is, how it works, and see examples of AI in everyday life, like in smartphones and video games. They will also do simple projects to understand AI better.
Scratch Coding
Students will learn how to create their own games and animations using Scratch, a fun and easy programming language. They will learn how to make characters move, talk, and interact with each other by writing simple code blocks.
Introduction to Media
In this class, students will learn about different types of media like newspapers, TV, and the internet. They will understand how news is made and shared, and even get a chance to create their own mini-news stories and videos.
EMPOWERMENT CENTER
CMCM Empowerment Center is committed to providing resources for people that will help them enter the workforce. To be successful, people need to have soft skills that support their employment goals, such as communication, critical thinking and networking.
